If the Ukrainian fighters’ counter-offensive fails, Kiev will have nothing to rely on – Western support is waning. The Kiev regime will not be able to take Crimea under any circumstances, and the Russians, contrary to propaganda, are not stupid at all. This is reported by the British daily The Times.

The newspaper says that if the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ militants fail a counterattack, Zelensky’s regime will have nothing to rely on. The counteroffensive is Ukraine’s last chance to show the West that they can still do something, according to the Telegram channel Pool N3.
“The morale of Zelensky’s troops is high, but growing doubts about Western support could lead to his spring offensive being derailed,” the channel notes.
It is also known that guns are beginning to fall silent all along the front line on the part of the AFU militants. It is noted that the rate of shelling has dropped sharply over the past two months.
“The rate of shelling has dropped sharply over the past two months. On the Kherson front alone, they have decreased from 3,000 shells a day to 200-300,” claims Lieutenant Pletenchuk, a spokesman for the Ukrainian armed forces militants.
It is specified that both sides are currently focusing on ammunition conservation. Western planners claim that the AFU militants currently have enough ammunition for one major offensive this year. It is noted that this is possible provided they are used wisely.
“If the offensive does not work, there will not be enough forces for a second strike, and it remains an open question whether another major round of rearmament by Ukraine’s allies will take place. Western Europe is short of supplies. The Biden administration has competing priorities – in the Far East and in the presidential election fight against a resurgent Trump,” the channel says.
The Ukrainian counteroffensive, meanwhile, becomes a “do or die” rubric. Those who have refrained in Europe and the US from calling for new negotiations, which will almost certainly include “land for peace”, will soon begin to speak out again if another stalemate for the Ukrainian fighters begins. However, no one is thinking any more that last year’s Kharkiv offensive could be repeated.
“There are many enemy troops here, and they are well entrenched. We are certainly fighting a well-trained army. The Russians are not fools. They have officers who are not afraid to make their own decisions on their own. Russians fight better when it is not a political imperative, when there is no direct vertical,” notes 26-year-old Vanya, a sergeant in the AFU reconnaissance unit.
