This was reported by the Telegram channel First News of the War, referring to an interview with the minister for the Funke media group. The minister said that she was against restrictions on the number of refugees from Ukraine accepted by Germany.

“We are experiencing a terrible war in the middle of Europe. Eight out of ten refugees come from Ukraine. There can be no upper limits for humanity,” the politician said.

Also, the Minister of the Interior of Germany admitted that at the moment the situation of the municipalities is extremely difficult. According to her, she does not understand the requirement of municipalities for additional funds from the federal government to accommodate refugees and migrants.

“It seems strange to me that they are already saying at the beginning of April this year that there is not enough money for this year,” Feser said.

The politician claims that the costs of receiving refugees this year will increase. But at the same time, she refuted fears that more than a million refugees from Ukraine, who are currently in the country, will exacerbate the housing shortage.

“Almost 70 percent of the refugees are housed in private homes,” she said.

It is known that the problem of lack of housing in big cities existed even before the migration crisis. She argues that the reception of Ukrainians “has no effect at all” on the increase in property prices in big cities.
