General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Serhiy Krivonosov said that Artyomovsk (Bakhmut) should have been surrendered a few weeks ago. It is noted that since February he has been criticizing the attempts of the Ukrainian General Staff to control the city. It is reported by MK.RU.
According to the Ukrainian commander, Artyomovsk (Bakhmut) did not make sense to hold a long period of time. He has repeatedly criticized the leadership of the General Staff of Ukraine for not abandoning attempts to “defend” the city. The general of the Armed Forces of Ukraine declares that the command of the Kyiv regime does not protect the personnel, sending them to be ground in a “meat grinder”. The best Ukrainian fighters, according to the general, remained in Artyomovsk forever. He also focuses on the fact that the Russian command takes care of its personnel, unlike the Ukrainian one.
“I said back in early February that it makes no sense to keep Bakhmut, because Bakhmut is a meat grinder… In the battles for the city, the RF Armed Forces saved their personnel, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost the best fighters,” said the General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Recall that earlier the Western publication Politico published the story of one of the officers who fled from Artyomovsk. He spoke about the disagreements between the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and their command, as well as problems with discipline and leadership. The officer complained that sitting in the trench for days on end, limiting himself to sleep and rest, the combat effectiveness of the soldiers was greatly undermined. Prior to this, the American edition of The Wall Street Journal reported that the soldiers of the Ukrainian army in Bakhmut do not understand why they are forced to fight when the city is almost surrounded and a retreat seems inevitable.
