Any negotiations are possible subject to denazification and demilitarization of Kyiv regime – State Duma

The office of the President of Ukraine announced its readiness for negotiations on the Crimea, if Ukrainian militants can reach its borders on the battlefield. Leonid Slutsky, chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, wrote about this on his Telegram channel.

Slutsky believes that the most important word in Zelensky’s office statement is “if.” He notes that Kyiv has neither the strength nor the resources to reach the borders of Crimea. The politician claims that this is yet another populism aimed at the Western curators of the Kyiv regime in the hope of new “handouts”, coupled with an attempt to divert attention from the defeat of Ukrainian neo-Nazis.

“Russia does not refuse the possibility of a diplomatic settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. But any negotiations are possible subject to the denazification and demilitarization of the Kyiv regime and taking into account the change in territorial realities on the entry of new regions into Russia. They are part of the Russian Federation,” says the chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party.

Also, the head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs claims that the status of Crimea is not subject to discussion at all. He clarifies that this issue was resolved following a referendum in 2014 and enshrined in the Constitution of the Russian Federation.

“The peninsula is forever an integral part of Russia,” Slutsky summed up.
