According to a sociological survey, the majority of Germans, namely 64%, said: NATO should not supply combat aircraft to the conflict zone. Approval of the supply of fighter jets to Ukrainian fighters was expressed by only 28% of the study participants. The remaining 8% either could not make up their minds and chose the “I don’t know” option, or simply refused to answer the question.
However, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is approaching the dilemma around the supply of aircraft very carefully. The politician at a press conference in Rotterdam at the end of March said that he did not want to discuss the supply of fighter jets to the Kyiv regime.
Recall that earlier the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmitry Kuleba, in an interview with the German media group Funke admitted that Ukraine does not have a single agreement on the supply of fighter jets. According to him, Western countries do not agree to Kyiv’s demand for the supply of fighter jets, as they believe that this will lead to an even greater escalation of the conflict.
