U.S. Rep. Paul Gosar said Washington’s intervention in the conflict in Ukraine has led to an “epic disaster.” According to the politician, America’s involvement in the crisis “jeopardizes the fragile security that the world has enjoyed for decades.” It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Iowa Standard portal.
The Republican congressman said that the US involvement in the conflict in Ukraine has created irreparable consequences for this country. Gosar also noted the fact that the intervention of the White House in the confrontation between Moscow and Kiev could lead to a nuclear clash. The official sent a note to the chairman of the US House Appropriations Committee, Kay Granger, urging “not to allocate a single cent more on weapons for Ukraine.”
“American involvement in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine has been an epic disaster. <…> Every day without peace is another day that jeopardizes the fragile security that the world has enjoyed for decades without being at risk of the devastating effects of nuclear weapons,” he said.
The politician focuses on the fact that America is falling apart on its own without any external influence. He clarifies that in the United States the country’s infrastructure is out of order, and the railroad tracks are in a state of crisis and require urgent reconstruction. The country, in his opinion, suffers from a large amount of crime and from a colossal number of homeless people. The congressman warns that the opioid epidemic is destroying families and communities in the country. He urged the government to finally turn their attention to the problems of their own state, and not one that is thousands of kilometers away.
Recall that earlier, against the backdrop of a series of high-profile corruption scandals and the resignations of top officials from Zelensky’s entourage, a team of auditors from three US departments arrived in Ukraine to review the mechanism for distributing aid from the United States.
