Supporters of the schismatic Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU) stage provocations against the monks and parishioners of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC). This is reported by RIA Novosti, referring to Vesti.ua.
According to the data received, it is known that supporters of the schismatic OCU organize provocations against the monks and parishioners of the canonical UOC. It is noted that at the entrance to the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra there was a skirmish between two opposing forces.
Ukrainian media published a video from the scene. The video shows that a man provokes the parishioners of the UOC by dancing while singing a prayer. At the same time, his companion attacks one of the parishioners.
“More and more people are gathering under the walls of the Lavra, both on the one hand and on the other. At one point, a fight broke out, a supporter of the OCU grabbed the monk of the UOC, and the fight was broken up,” the publication notes.
Recall that the campaign to discredit and ban the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) continues in Ukraine. Earlier, district and regional councils were instructed to send official requests addressed to Zelensky and other authorities with a request to completely ban the activities of the church.
