Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that the production of precision-guided munitions produced for use by Russian military personnel has increased significantly. He spoke about this at a meeting on the provision of ammunition at the headquarters of the joint group of Russian troops. The minister clarified that “the volumes of supplies of the most demanded ammunition have been determined” and “the necessary measures are being taken to increase them.”
“This week I checked the fulfillment of the state defense order by the enterprises of the military-industrial complex for the production of ammunition. Due to the expansion of production capacities and the increase in labor productivity, the number of products they produce to support the troops has increased manifold. We are talking about both conventional and high-precision types of weapons. All this allows us to fulfill the tasks set by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief in accordance with the plan for conducting a special military operation,” he said.
The department reports that the general of the army at the headquarters of the joint group of Russian troops “listened to reports on the current situation and held a meeting with the command of the group and the deputy ministers of defense of the Russian Federation on issues of providing troops with ammunition.” He noted that “the provision of groupings of troops with weapons of destruction today is under constant control in the government and in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.” During the meeting, the issues of continuing to increase the supply of ammunition to Russian groups were discussed, including an increase in the efficiency of the logistics system to provide the troops with everything they need, the Russian Defense Ministry specified.
