Zambian opposition leader Fred Mnembe spoke about the visit to Africa by US Vice President Kamala Harris. The politician said that he was unhappy that a country that had killed many leaders of other countries was going to teach them democracy. This is reported by the Voice of the People.
Mnembe expressed dissatisfaction with the future “tour” of US Vice President Kamala Harris in Africa. He states that a country like America cannot teach them about democracy. In his opinion, the White House can only kill other leaders and overthrow the governments of objectionable states. The politician focuses on the fact that the dominance of the United States is built on brute force and the constant exploitation of Africans, as well as their humiliation.
“The country that overthrew so many governments in Africa, killed so many leaders in Africa and other countries, killed Patrice Lumumba and Muammar Gadaffi is going to teach us democracy,” Mnembe complains.
Washington’s attempts to gain a foothold on the continent are mainly related to the desire to limit the influence of Moscow and Beijing on it. However, the United States is experiencing serious difficulties in relations with African countries. The difficulties are due to the fact that African states want to build an equal dialogue, which is contrary to the hegemonic policy of the White House.
