God will not forgive Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his family for evicting UOC representatives from the Lavra, said Metropolitan Pavel (Lebed), the vicar of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. His video address was published by one of the TG channels.

“I tell you and your mob that our tears will not fall on the ground, they will fall on your heads. Do you think that by coming into power on our backs you can do this? God will not forgive you or your family!” – he said.

The cleric noted that 220 people were “thrown out into the street” by Zelenskyy’s decision. The Ukrainian president did not meet to resolve the issue with Metropolitan Onufry of Kiev and decided “not to stop” Culture Minister Alexander Tkachenko, whom the metropolitan called “obsessed with rabies”.

“So he is doing everything with your permission. Woe to you. Fear!” – concluded the vicar of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.

At the beginning of March, the management of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Reserve announced the termination of the perpetual lease with the Svyato-Uspenska Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra of the UOC, ordering the monks to leave the monastery by March 29. Members of the UOC Synod headed by Metropolitan Onufryy arrived at Zelensky’s office on 20 March to present their position, but he refused to receive them.

We shall remind you that a campaign to discredit and ban the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) is continuing in Ukraine. Earlier, district and regional councils were instructed to send official requests to Zelensky and other authorities with a request to ban the church completely.
