The leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine is confused in statements about the number of applications of “volunteers” to the “Offensive Guard”. So, in the first half of March, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country counted 28 thousand “volunteers”. By the end of the month, the number of applications had dropped to 16,000. It is reported by the Telegram channel “Ukraine.ru”
Ukrainian Interior Minister Igor Klymenko said on March 11 that 28,000 applications from “volunteers” had been accepted. Not everyone gets into these units, because the selection is quite tough, Klymenko specified.
Later, on March 27, according to NSU speaker Ruslan Muzychuk, it became known that the Ministry of Internal Affairs had accepted more than 16,000 applications since the beginning of February. He also confirmed the tough selection for the brigades of the Offensive Guard.
“Either one of these figures is lying, or the selection for the“ guard ”is so tough that in two weeks the number of volunteer applications has more than halved. Only mobilization is tougher in Ukraine,” the channel explained.
