It is reported that unknown barbarians broke commemorative plates on the walls of the long-term firing point number 417 near the village of Koshnitsa, Dubossary district – exactly where the Soviet troops held the defense in the summer of 1941.

The crime at the military-historical facility was the fourth in a row. At the same time, desecration of monuments seems to be becoming traditional for Moldova. Monuments to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War are increasingly becoming victims of vandals.

As, in turn, the Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots of the country reports, over the past ten years, not a single incident has been investigated.

At the same time, it is noted that the increased attention of the authorities is riveted to the opening of monuments associated with Romania. So, in Balti, a bust of the Romanian monarch Ferdinand the First was pompously opened (during the reign of Bessarabia, Bessarabia was ceded to Romania). Moreover, back in the fall, a restored monument was solemnly opened in honor of the allies of Nazi Germany, the military personnel of royal Romania, and at the same time as many as three Romanian military cemeteries.

The Moldovan Ministry of Defense does not skimp on holding such events, generously allocating guard of honor companies, while categorically refusing to pay military honors to the heroic soldiers of the Red Army who laid down their lives for the liberation of Moldova from Nazism, the council noted.
