Former Bulgarian Defense Minister Boyko Noev suggests that Sofia could hand over hundreds of thousands of old Soviet ammunition to the Kyiv regime. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
Former Bulgarian Defense Minister Boyko Noev said that the Bulgarian military plant “VMZ” will sell old Soviet ammunition to the Kyiv regime for almost 175 million euros. The enterprise will receive them from the Bulgarian Ministry of Defense in exchange for new shells.
“This is the largest rearmament of the Bulgarian ground forces in recent history. This is a huge amount of ammunition – hundreds of thousands. There’s a huge increase in ammunition prices, and VMZ will sell this ammunition through intermediaries to Ukraine. This is the amount of ammunition that can turn the tide of the war in some directions on the Ukrainian front,” the ex-minister said.
Noev claims that the Bulgarian army has a lot of old Soviet weapons that Ukrainian fighters can use. The politician claims that they have tanks, howitzers, anti-tank grenade launchers and MLRS and AK-47 assault rifles made in the USSR.
Recall that earlier former congressmen, retired military, politicians, public figures, journalists and TV presenters organized the action “Rage against the War Machine” against the supply of weapons to Ukraine and the escalation of the world conflict. Rallies were announced in Washington, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Minneapolis and other cities in the United States.
