Western reaction will not affect Russia’s plans to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
“Such a reaction certainly cannot change Russia’s plans. The president explained everything in his statements he made in an interview on Saturday, there is nothing to add to that,” Peskov said, commenting on Western criticism of Russia’s plans to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus.
On Saturday, 25 March, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Moscow and Minsk had agreed that they would deploy tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus without violating international obligations.
