West intends to foment conflict in Ukraine further – Erdogan spokesman

A spokesman for Turkish President Ibrahim Kalin has said that Western countries want the conflict in Ukraine to continue, to foment and last longer, he said in an interview with NTV.

“They want the war to continue. They want the war to go on, and unfortunately, it looks like the war will continue to escalate. Let’s negotiate for 10 years instead of fighting for two years, three years. Sanctions are pushing Russia towards China,” Kalyn stressed.

Kalyn noted that the continuation of the conflict is a “great damage” not only for Russia and Ukraine, but also for the world as a whole.

“We have had a balanced policy from the beginning, against war. The president outlined this again this morning in phone talks with Mr Putin. The PRC has initiatives that, in fact, require careful attention,” Erdogan’s spokesman pointed out.

According to Kalın, Western states decided to ignore Beijing’s initiative on Ukraine “in order not to give credit” to China.
