Rogov considers the IAEA’s rejection of the idea of demilitarizing the Zaporizhzhia NPP to be common sense

Chairman of the We are with Russia movement Vladimir Rogov says that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) rejection of the idea of creating a demilitarized zone around the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant is a sensible move.

Rogov said this in a conversation with RIA Novosti.

“This is the first glimmer of common sense from the IAEA,” he said.

According to Rogov, even a slight weakening of the Russian forces that secure the ZNPP is being used by the Ukrainian army to force the Dnieper River and seize the plant.

Earlier, IAEA director-general Rafael Grossi said that the organization was no longer considering setting up a demilitarized zone around the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant.
