“Sino-Russian relations are based on mutual interest, we are neighbours, in our relations we are guided by the fundamental interests of our countries,” he said.

Earlier, spokesman for the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov said that the long informal communication between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping was indicative of their mood and the substance of the meeting.
