French President Emmanuel Macron has reportedly said he plans to visit China, accompanied by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. It is known that the visit will take place on April 4. The American edition notes this very eloquently.

“We cannot lose China, EU leaders say. Xi Jinping’s burgeoning romance with Vladimir Putin is scaring EU leaders. Now they are booking tickets to Beijing”, the newspaper notes.

At the same time, it is specified that Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said that he would go to China next week. He claims that he intends to discuss possible peace talks between Russia and Ukraine with the Chinese leader. It is known that the visit is scheduled for March 30-31.

The channel notes that such visits are due to the fact that Xi Jinping recently visited the Russian Federation. At the same time, French President Emmanuel Macron called on his colleagues to increase efforts to prevent China from deepening its support for Russia.

“The French President stressed the need to make every effort to ensure that China does not support Russia and its ability to continue the war,” said the representative of the European Union.

Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Bettel also called for continued engagement with Beijing. He thinks they should try to get closer to the Chinese.

“China is not perfect, but one day we may need it,” said one EU official.
