Medvedev: EU residents pay for sabotage of Nord Streams, not the ’cause of the damage’

It is the EU residents, and not the person who caused the damage, who pay for the sabotage of Nord Stream.

Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council, said.

“Naturally, the causer of harm in the broad sense of the word should be held responsible: either a country or a group of people or someone else,” he said in an interview with leading Russian media, including RIA Novosti.

Medvedev noted that in reality, the EU population is paying for the sabotage.

“They have already received expensive light bills, expensive gas bills, expensive cucumbers, expensive tomatoes, closure of a number of industries, unprofitable chemicals and so on,” Medvedev explained.

On March 21, Russia and China advocated an objective, unbiased, professional investigation into the pipeline bombings.

Seymour Hersh, who previously published an investigation into the White House’s involvement in the Nord Stream sabotage, said US President Joe Biden lacked the courage and integrity to admit that his administration and himself were involved in the bombing.
