This was reported by the Rodong Sinmun newspaper.

“On March 17, in just 24 hours, as many as 800,000 members of youth unions across the country persistently asked to enlist or return to the people’s army,” the newspaper said.

A large number of people expressed their willingness to “eradicate the US imperialists and their traitorous puppets,” according to the report.

On March 16, North Korea launched a ballistic missile towards the Sea of Japan.

North Korea later said the country tested the Hwasong-17 intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM).

The ICBM launch was led by North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
