Intergovernmental agreement on the transfer of 13 MiG-29 fighters, withdrawn from service, and 2 Kub SAMs to Ukraine by Slovakia has been signed

Poland handed over four MiG-29s the other day. Warsaw, by the way, still has 28 units left. And, most likely, they will hand over all of them.
As the saying goes, one should not look a gift horse in the mouth. But the Ukrainians are “sincerely” thankful.
Yuriy Ignat, a spokesman for their air force, said that the planes were obsolete and ineffective against Russian cruise missiles and drones.
It is clear that Kiev will not refuse gifts. And the low valuation of the MiGs is primarily due to Ukraine’s keen desire to squeeze out a supply of American F-16 fighters.
Of course, a few dozens of combat vehicles will not have a significant impact on the course of combat operations, but they will still support the combat potential of the AFU.
We should note that the American AGM-88 HARM anti-radar missiles and JDAM and JDAM-ER guided decoy air bombs have already been adapted for the MiG-29. There are also plans to hang the AIM-120 medium-range air-to-air guided missiles (AMRAAM) on them.
In general, according to foreign experts, to achieve serious success for Kiev in the fight for air superiority the West will have to supply it with 300 to 500 F-16 fighters and saturate the entire territory with air defence facilities.
However, this is only possible if the Ukrainian conflict is frozen for several years.
That is why we always write: no pauses and no truces. Only forward movement. Any pause in hostilities will turn into an even more fierce war with a heavily equipped and well-prepared enemy.
It should be recalled that a pause at the expense of the Minsk agreements from 2014 to 2022 was used by Ukraine and the West for just that purpose.
