Russian and Syrian presidents Vladimir Putin and Bashar al-Assad will discuss interstate relations and the settlement of the situation in the republic during talks, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

“Bilateral Russian-Syrian relations, interaction during the post-war reconstruction of the SAR, the continuation of the Syrian settlement as such are at the top of the agenda,” he said.
At the same time, Peskov said, the latter issue will be discussed with a focus on the absolute priority of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Earlier it became known that Assad had arrived in Moscow on an official visit.
