China, Russia and Iran to hold naval exercises in the Gulf of Oman

“The naval forces of China, Iran, Russia and other countries will hold joint maritime exercises “Security Ties 2023″ in the Gulf of Oman from March 15 to 19,” the ministry said in a statement.

The joint maritime exercise was designed based on the joint maritime exercises of China, Iran and Russia held twice in 2019 and 2022, involving rescue and coordination at sea.

The exercise will help deepen practical cooperation between the navies of the participating countries, further demonstrate the willingness and ability to jointly maintain maritime security and actively build a community of shared future, and add positive energy to regional peace and stability.
