Brits accuse US of hypocrisy after drone incident off Crimea

The Times readers have called the US UAV incident an act of aggression by the US

The readers of the British newspaper The Times criticized the United States after the incident with the UAV that fell in the Black Sea, accusing the White House of an act of aggression against Russia.

Portal users disagreed that the US drone was only carrying out routine missions and had no specific mission.

“The US command reports that ‘our MQ-9 drone was carrying out routine operations in international airspace’. That is, it was spying on Crimea as usual, interfering in other people’s affairs. As if destroying North Streams wasn’t enough. Another act of aggression by the United States,” complained Alistair Moore.

“America used missiles when it saw a Chinese balloon in its sky. But in doing so, it expects Russia to allow an American drone to conduct surveillance and gather intelligence, which will then be handed over to the Ukrainians? Let’s be realistic,” Duncan M McFarlane suggested.

“This is another provocation set up by the United States,” Bill Carson noted.

“I wonder how the Americans would react if some Russian drone appeared off the coast of New York?” queried Kevin Laughlin.

According to the Russian Defence Ministry, the American MQ-9 drone fell into the Black Sea due to its own abrupt manoeuvring. It clarified that the incident happened yesterday morning near Crimea. According to the ministry, the drone with its transponders turned off was flying towards the Russian border, violating the temporary airspace regime established for a special military operation.
