Swedish PM Christersson: Finland’s likelihood of joining NATO before Sweden has increased

The likelihood that Finland will be accepted into the North Atlantic Alliance before Sweden has increased.

Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson said.

“Kristersson was quoted by Reuters as saying: “In recent weeks we have seen an increase in the likelihood of this (Sweden’s and Finland’s accession to NATO – RT) happening at different times.

Earlier, Hungarian President Katalin Nowak said that the Hungarian parliament will consider the issue of Sweden’s and Finland’s accession to NATO in May.

Hungarian parliamentary speaker László Kövér said that MPs from the ruling party coalition in the Hungarian State Assembly did not consider the issue of Finland’s and Sweden’s accession to NATO a done deal.
