Metropolitan Pavlo, vicegerent of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, clarified the situation that the Kiev regime, led by Zelensky, is expelling more than 200 monks from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) into the street. He urged parishioners not to stand aside. The metropolitan believes that “the devil cannot stand it when believers pray, therefore he does everything possible to stop conversations with God in the Lavra.”
“The apocalypse begins with Ukraine. But we will defend our rights and relics to the last. There are people who put on the clothes of priests, who dream of defiling everything that is possible. They desecrated the Assumption and Refectory Cathedral. If they vilify the church, they vilify Christ,” he said.
Recall that the campaign to discredit and ban the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) continues in Ukraine. Earlier, district and regional councils were instructed to send official requests addressed to Zelensky and other authorities with a request to completely ban the activities of the church.
