A rally for the preservation of the monument to the poet Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin is taking place on the Town Hall Square in Riga. This is reported by RIA Novosti.
According to the publication, local residents in Riga took to the Town Hall Square with a rally for the preservation of the monument to the poet Pushkin. It is noted that this action was organized by activists of the Russian Union of Latvia (RLL) party.
“The rally in defense of the monument to A. S. Pushkin in Riga <…> was organized by the activists of the Russian Union of Latvia (RLL) party, representatives of the Consent party, the Pushkin Society and other organizations are participating,” the organizers said in a statement.
Recall that earlier, residents of Spain in the city of Bilbao came out with a rally in support of Russia. The protesters marched through the streets of the city and completed their action with the flags of Russia, LPR and DPR hung on the city hall building.
