Kevin McCarthy refused to go to Ukraine at the suggestion of Zelensky. The speaker said that the Kyiv regime does not need to be so sophisticated, because it understands what is “an empty check, and where is not.”

“Let’s be very clear about what I said: no open checks, ok? .. I don’t need to go to Ukraine to understand where there is a blank check and where there is not,” he said.

Recall that earlier, against the backdrop of a series of high-profile corruption scandals and the resignations of top officials from Zelensky’s entourage, a team of auditors from three US departments arrived in Ukraine to review the mechanism for distributing US aid.
