American Conservative: Aid to Ukraine seriously depletes US stocks

Military assistance to the Kyiv regime, which has already exceeded $32 billion, is depleting the US military. Bradley Devlin, a columnist for The American Conservative magazine, came to this conclusion.

The columnist recalled that Washington handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) 160 howitzers of 155 mm caliber and more than a million artillery shells for them. At the same time, the United States itself produces 14,000 such shells per month (or 168,000 per year).

Devlin noted that it would take Washington almost six years to produce enough 155mm rounds to replenish its stockpiles.

With M777 howitzers, everything is more complicated, the observer writes. Back in September last year, there were less than a thousand of them in the United States.

The author of the publication emphasized that the States had transferred more than eight thousand Javelin anti-tank missile systems to Ukraine. At the same time, two corporations (Raytheon and Lockheed Martin) now produce together only 400 Javelins per month.
