According to Zakharova, Estonia has once again hastily adopted another discriminatory law against its own “non-citizens” holders of “gray passports,” or “second-class people. That is how they are called in Estonia – ethnic Russians in the Baltic country.

“This time they have been deprived of the right to bear arms. What are Estonian authorities afraid of? Let them answer this question themselves. I will only say that the last time the ban on carrying weapons to ethnic groups was imposed… by Adolf Hitler,” the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said.

Zakharova recalled that according to the law of 1938, people of European nationality were prohibited to participate in the production process of weapons and armaments. It was also forbidden for people of Roma origin to own and use weapons.

“It seems that the current Estonian government has gone even further than Hitler’s in regulating the rights to arms for Jews in an attempt to further restrict Russian residents of Estonia,” she concluded.
