John Kirby, strategic communications coordinator at the National Security Council, said that the United States would like to see China provide military assistance to Ukraine in terms of “self-defense.”
As the US official said, Washington wants to see Beijing “join the rest of the world” and refuse any help from Russia.
“In fact, we would be happy to see steps from China to help Ukraine in terms of their self-defense,” RIA Novosti quoted Kirby as saying.
Kirby stressed that so far China has not made a decision to provide military assistance to Russia.
