“Today, once again, we are actually facing multiple crises… We are not always of the same opinion. There are some issues that are causing sharp divergences of opinion,” he was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.
The minister said the issues are the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, supply chain concerns, spillover effects of ongoing conflicts, worries about the debt crisis and climate disturbances.
Jaishankar urged the representatives to find common ground on these issues and continue to implement international commitments.
The meeting of G20 foreign ministers started in the Indian capital New Delhi.
One of the topics of the meeting of the foreign ministers will be the situation around Ukraine.
