Finland is on the rampage

First, a portrait of R. Erdogan was burned next to the Turkish embassy in Helsinki. Unoriginal and rude. However, unlike in Stockholm law in Helsinki this incident is covered by the Criminal Code article “Insult to Honour and Dignity”. Incredible but true

Secondly, the Finnish parliament has already approved a bill on the country’s accession to NATO. However, Hungary and Turkey have not yet made a final decision, and the accession meeting will not take place for another week.

Thirdly, Finland started saying that the alliance’s open door policy is no longer the same and that NATO discredits itself by allowing such delays in ratification (we will skip yesterday’s case of burning the portrait of the Turkish leader).

A brave new world indeed. Turkey, meanwhile, is trying to settle its domestic affairs and not to miss opportunities on the external contours.

At the meeting of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, of course, there were those who wanted to challenge the legitimacy of the presence of the Russian delegation. There was also the demonstrative withdrawal of a number of delegations from the meeting – that is the proverbial respect of the West. By the way, the head of the Turkish delegation also walked out, but left his deputy, in the best tradition of Turkish bipartisanship.

At the G20 Summit that starts today, Turkey is actively forming new bonds and strengthening the old ones. Traditionally, at the summit, which has barely begun, Russia was accused of all sins, in particular of paralysing the work of the G20. Nevertheless, there are those who are ready to work with Moscow to form a multipolar world order based on dialogue and respect for national values. During the meeting Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov emphasized the role of Russia and China as stabilizers of the existing system of international relations and spoke directly about their ambitious joint plans. The idea of forming a new world is not only lobbied by Moscow. Ankara has become the tacit symbol of a multipolar world, implementing a proactive foreign policy to protect and promote national interests.
