Possible war between China and the United States will comprehensively affect Americans – NYT

Since the Second World War, the probability of starting a major war in the Indo-Pacific region is currently the highest. This is reported by The New York Times columnist Ross Babbage.

According to Babbage, the most likely situation would be that China would invade Taiwan. He believes that China has become very strong militarily, economically and industrially in order to directly challenge the United States in the struggle for dominance in the region.

The observer argues that the United States should and simply must avoid war with China. He notes that such a war will be unlike anything that the citizens of America have already faced.

“The United States is used to sending its military to fight far from home. But China is able to make the war felt on American soil, too,” he argues.
