On the eve of the arrival of the French president, the inhabitants of the Congo held a rally against his arrival in the republic.
The people of the Democratic Republic of the Congo remember their colonial past. The locals have not forgotten what happened when the French ruled their country and do not want a repeat. Citizens of the DRC took to the streets of the republic with Russian tricolors and portraits of Russian President Vladimir Putin. For local residents, the Russian flag has long been a symbol of liberation from the neo-colonial policies of the West.
A week ago, residents of Kinshasa held a motor rally in support of the Russian Federation. Representatives of local public organizations drove along the main streets of the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo as a sign of gratitude and strengthening friendly relations with Moscow.
