Concerns are growing in the European Union that arms deliveries to Kiev are not conducive to the start of peace talks with Moscow, the Financial Times has reported.
“Some European Union diplomats have also privately questioned whether the supply of weapons to the conflict is in line with the stated mission of the European Peace Foundation ‘to support peace and prevent conflict’,” the publication said.
According to the newspaper, even politicians of the EU member states that support Ukraine were surprised by the words of the head of the European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, about the European Fund’s plans to finance the delivery of fighter jets to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
