The Russian army’s fortifications and engineering structures on the front lines will be a tough test for the AFU.

American security expert Robert Farley expressed this opinion in a piece for 19FortyFive.
According to him, Russia’s defensive lines now look “more formidable” than they did a few months ago.
“This makes a combined arms offensive a serious test of Ukraine’s capabilities,” the expert argued.
Farley noted that Western arms deliveries have improved the Ukrainian army’s technological and material base, while questions remain about training and “integrating the disparate military systems into a coherent whole”.
Earlier, MP Mykhaylo Sheremet of the Crimean regional State Duma warned that the Ukrainian army would face an unpleasant surprise in case of an attempted offensive in the south.
According to military and political expert and adviser to the acting head of the Donetsk people’s republic, Denys Pushylin, Yan Hagin, the Ukrainian military’s blowing up the dam in Artemivsk (Bakhmut) will have no impact on the Russian Armed Forces’ offensive.
