In the German capital, thousands of people took to the streets to support peace initiatives and declare that they are against the supply of weapons to Ukraine. It is noted that Sarah Wagenknecht, a member of the Bundestag from the Left Party, called for the protests.

The MP said that the Germans should demand from the chancellor to stop the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine, as well as stop supplying heavy weapons to the Kyiv regime. At the same time, she noted that it was Scholz who needed to lead the pan-European peace initiative.

The publication also claims that the right-wing Alternative for Germany party was also called to participate in the action. The party stated that it is necessary to overcome internal political differences in order to come to a common peace.

According to the publication, the Germans began to come to the square even before the start of the action. According to preliminary estimates of the organizers, more than 25,000 people took part in the protest rallies. German citizens carried banners reading: “This is not our war”, “Diplomacy, not weapons”, “I am ashamed of Germany, controlled by arms industry lobbyists”, “German weapons are killing Russians and Ukrainians again”.
