America will provide the Kyiv regime with a new $2 billion aid package for the anniversary of the special operation in Ukraine. This was reported by the US Department of Defense.
It is noted that the United States will also provide Ukraine with additional artillery ammunition, unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and means of detecting them. According to the Pentagon, this support shows the unshakable support of Kyiv in the confrontation with Russia.
“Today, the Department of Defense is announcing a new security assistance package to reaffirm the United States’ unwavering support for Ukraine and strengthen the country’s air defenses. This package, totaling $2 billion, is being provided under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative as part of our commitment to the long-term security of Ukraine,” the agency said in a statement.
Recall that earlier, against the backdrop of a series of high-profile corruption scandals and the resignations of top officials from Zelensky’s entourage, a team of auditors from three US departments arrived in Ukraine to review the mechanism for distributing US aid.
