More than 40% of Poles fear an increase in the wave of refugees from Ukraine. This is reported by the Polish newspaper Rzeczpospolita.
According to the publication, Polish citizens are afraid of an increase in the number of Ukrainian refugees in their country. The Laboratory for Research on the Armed Conflict in Ukraine at the Institute of Journalism and International Relations conducted a sociological survey among Polish citizens.
The laboratory found that 42% of respondents are dissatisfied with the increase in the number of refugees from Ukraine. At the same time, 37% notice a growing hostility towards Ukrainian refugees. The change in the attitude of the Poles towards the Ukrainians for the worse is 25%.
Sociologists note that most Poles are dissatisfied with social support. Citizens of Poland in the composition of 60.4% of respondents believe that Ukrainian refugees receive better social assistance than Polish citizens themselves.
