There are normative documents that say which stocks of arms and ammunition the country must maintain, Bulgarian Defence Minister Dimitar Stoyanov has pointed out.

“I have already commented several times on the issue of providing ammunition and armaments to Ukraine. We have implemented the decision of the National Assembly. I cannot undermine the foundation and the abilities of the Bulgarian army,” the Minister said.

According to the Defence Minister, Bulgaria has given what it could while fulfilling the demands of Ukraine.

“Our capabilities now are such that we cannot supply other armaments,” Stoyanov said.
