Moldovan President Maia Sandu in a meeting with US leader Joe Biden has asked him to increase financial aid for the republic.
“The Moldovan leader used the meeting to inform the US president about the difficulties related to the border war and the need for increased US aid to strengthen the country’s economic sustainability,” the Moldovan president’s press service said in a statement.
Earlier, Moldovan President Maia Sandu said that there was a risk of destabilization in the country.
It was also reported that the White House could not confirm Sandu’s statements about the risk of destabilization in Moldova.
At the same time, Biden said that he supported the Moldovan president.
