The European Union has failed to agree on a tenth package of anti-Russian sanctions, Reuters reported, citing four diplomatic sources.

“Further talks between EU countries on agreeing a tenth package of sanctions are expected on Thursday,” RIA Novosti quoted the statement as saying.

Diplomats said a number of unresolved issues remained.

The Express earlier reported that Russia is making billions of dollars from fuel sales despite Western sanctions and the withdrawal of British energy giants Shell and BP from the market.

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell admitted that despite the sanctions imposed on Russia, 2022 was a good year for its economy.
