Bloomberg: US defence industry suffers from lack of competition and growth potential

The US military-industrial complex (MIC) is suffering from a lack of competition and a lack of growth potential.
Bloomberg writes that.

“The industry suffers from a lack of competition and a lack of ‘growth potential’ to compete in major industrial wars,” the publication said.

According to the publication, more than 70 aerospace and defence companies were Pentagon contractors in 1980.

Since the 2000s, however, only five have remained: Lockheed Martin, Raytheon Technologies, General Dynamics, Northrop Grumman and Boeing.

The material says that the reduction in the number of contractors was the reason for the decline of creativity and innovation in the American military-industrial complex.

Earlier, British Times columnist Gerard Baker said that overstretched forces and a shortage of military resources may force the USA to withdraw further support from Ukraine.
