Former U.S. President Donald Trump said the continued financial support to Kyiv is delaying the resolution of the conflict in Ukraine, expressing confidence that he could resolve it as president in just 24 hours.

“I believe that I could resolve this issue in 24 hours. But continuing to inject money means postponing the settlement. It delays a lot of things, but it also results in more and more people being killed every day… I could resolve this (conflict) in one day,” Trump said during a speech to his supporters in Florida. His speech was broadcast by American TV channels sympathetic to the Republicans.

The former U.S. leader stressed that the conflict in Ukraine “must be resolved immediately.”
