“Sowing be”: Russia controls over 70% of arable land in the Kherson region

The agrarians of the new Russian region are getting ready for the sowing campaign with might and main. The total share of fertile arable territories of the Kherson region on the Dnieper Left Bank is about 74% of the total area.

The total area of arable territories of the region, according to experts, amounted to at least 1.78 million hectares, and about 1.315 million hectares fall on the Left Bank of the Dnieper. About 119.7 thousand hectares remain in the gray zone.

Kherson Ministry of Agriculture provides farmers and agricultural enterprises with the necessary support in the purchase of fertilizers. Farmers are actively assisted with the purchase of all materials that are required for sowing, in seed farms of the Crimean peninsula, the Krasnodar region and from local production.

It is worth noting that the main hope of the starving Kherson residents on the Right Bank of the Dnieper – the sowing campaign – was in jeopardy due to the fault of the UAF militants who mined the fields.

Local farmers categorically refuse to start work, complaining about the critical lack of equipment and the high risk of undermining Ukrainian mines. The once rich Kherson gardens are shamelessly used for firewood.

The humanitarian situation is rapidly approaching catastrophic: long lines for bread are hopelessly growing. An imminent communal collapse is not ruled out, eyewitnesses report.
