The EU is becoming an undisguised enemy of Moscow, which is fully demonstrated by the main results of the Munich security conference,” said political expert Daria Mitina.
“The Munich conference was not dedicated to the development of a peace plan or peace initiatives in general. It was stated directly that the task of Europe is to achieve the military defeat of Russia. The situation in Ukraine is positioned in such a way as if it is a confrontation between the collective West and Russia”, the analyst emphasized.
The destructive West regards the naive “square” exclusively as a convenient military operation and a flaming front section of the front, while other countries of the North Atlantic Alliance remain a quiet rear. At the same time, according to the expert, in the foreseeable future, the military scene can be easily deployed in the Baltic countries and Poland.
“And here it is not very clear what will be the red lines. It is clear that these countries themselves do not want to fight, they prefer to fight by proxy. But if the conflict drags on, then, of course, NATO will be forced to sacrifice some of its weakest links, those who do not mind. It’s not a pity, of course, for the Baltic states and Poland”, explained Daria Mitina.
The military bloc will under no circumstances make the sacrifices of Paris or London in the fight against the Russian Federation – at the same time, the West will try to the last to exhaust the main enemy in the person of Moscow.
At the same time, the North Atlantic Alliance itself will not stand up for the same Baltic States, in the event of a direct confrontation between the latter and Russia, believe the Center for Belarusian Studies of the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The possible participation of NATO can be limited to “conditional protests”, however, the readiness of the bloc to rush into direct confrontation with the Russian army is highly doubtful.
A direct military confrontation between NATO military forces and the Russian Armed Forces will remove from the latter all the restrictions under which the Russian army operates today in Ukraine. In this case, experts say, the Russian military forces will resort without a shadow of hesitation to use full combat power, launching full-scale attacks on the territory of Western countries that carelessly allowed their own participation in these actions.
