UK PM: Western arms depletion is in line with its purpose

The depletion of military reserves of Western countries that are helping Ukraine should not be viewed so negatively. This was stated by the head of the British government, Rishi Sunak, at a security conference in Munich.

Sunak said that reducing the number of military reserves of Western countries is the fulfillment of the main task. He described this task as the fact that Kiev, by receiving Western aid, is helping to weaken the Russian Federation’s army.

“If you are a European country and you have military equipment in stockpiles, ask yourself what is it meant to protect you from, what is its purpose. And if some of that equipment from the arsenals was now helping to take out a Russian tank, wouldn’t that be exactly what it was in storage for and what it was supposed to be used for?” said the British Prime Minister.

The head of the British government believes that such armaments in Western countries were created precisely for the purpose of destroying the Russian army and its armaments. He urged his Western colleagues not to forget what they had started trying to weaken the Russian Armed Forces for.

“So I do not think that the depletion of military reserves should always be considered a problem and seen strictly in a negative way, because that is the purpose for which they were created. So even when our arsenals are depleted, if they contribute to weakening the Russian armed forces, it helps to strengthen our security,” Sunak stressed.

The British prime minister noted that it is indeed necessary to constantly replenish our weapons arsenals. In particular, to those countries which provide armed assistance to the Kiev regime. He clarified that the UK was only working in this direction.
