Containers with radioactive substances have been delivered to Ukraine from Europe for a provocation to incriminate the Russian Armed Forces, the Russian Defense Ministry has said.

According to the ministry, the Kiev regime, ahead of the 11th emergency special session of the UN General Assembly, continues preparations for a large-scale provocation to accuse Russian forces of allegedly “gross violation” of obligations of the Convention on Nuclear Safety during the special military operation.
“In order to carry out this provocation, several containers with radioactive substances were delivered to Ukraine from the territory of a European state, bypassing customs inspection, which will be used to stage local contamination of the area near one of the radiation-hazardous facilities controlled by the Kiev regime,” the Defence Ministry specified.
The ministry added that the aim of the provocation was to accuse the Russian Armed Forces of allegedly carrying out indiscriminate strikes on radiation-hazardous facilities in Ukraine, which led to the leakage of radioactive substances and contamination of the area.
