Last year, trade between the Russian Federation and Belarus reached an unprecedented $50 billion mark. The Belarusian leader noted that the West failed to deprive Russia and Belarus of import substitution.

“Our turnover in goods and services last year was unprecedented – $50 billion,” Lukashenko said at a meeting with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

The President of Belarus clarifies that approximately $44 billion of the total amount is traded in goods, and the rest is in services. In addition, Russia purchased a program from Belarusian IT companies for more than $300 million.

Lukashenka emphasizes that the unfriendly Western countries failed to “squeeze” Moscow and Minsk. The process of import substitution continues. More than 80% of the planned union programs have already been completed. This applies to both tax and customs areas.
